Chronic Anxiety
November 2018
I started going to David 6 months ago for anxiety. I didn't want the
side effects of medication and with acupuncture there are no side
effects. Like anything the more you go the better the effects to build. I
was going 1 time a week in the beginning and now 2 times a month. I no
longer deal with racing thoughts or panic attacks would recommend over
medication.

Pinched Nerve and Anxiety
June 2017
I have been a patient of Dr Park for approximately 5 weeks and I cannot be more please with the results. I original came to Acupuncture Park for what I thought was Carpel Tunnel Syndrome but was quickly diagnoses as having a pinched nerve in my back. My hands were burning and numb and after one treatment I immediately felt significant results. Also, the treatments have also helped with my anxiety as I no longer need to take daily meds! I was very skeptical in the beginning but this alternative medicine definitely works. Thank you Dr. Park

After one treatment focused on relieving the anxiety & depression I felt immediate relief.
This is to provide my second testimony. I chose to continue accupuncture with Dr. Park even after my legs showed significant improvement with relief of pain. I now receive the benefits of accupuncture 1-2 times per week to address mental health, specifically depression & anxiety. After one treatment focused on relieving the anxiety & depression I felt immediate relief. With routine treatments I receive a continuous progression in stabalizing a sense of calm, clarity & focus enabling me to be more productive at work and have the energy to engage in healthy relationships & activities with greater ease. I anticipate maintaining an ongoing accupuncture treatment routine as part of my health check up on anything that ails me. Thank you Dr. Park.

January 2015
I felt robotic and severely anxious. I would cry all the time and overanalyze situations and panic over little things ... I didn't want to go anywhere and I wasn't sleeping at night... I was a lot happier and my anxiety has drastically decreased. Along with some herbal medication I finally felt like a normal human being.
Back in early 2014, I was having a horrible time with adjusting to a new medication that I started January 2014 since my old prescription was no longer available. It was the worst experience of my life! I eventually called my doctor to tell her that I wished to come off the medication immediately and came off the prescription in March 2014. During that time frame I no longer felt like myself, let alone human. I felt robotic and severely anxious. I would cry all the time and overanalyze situations and panic over little things. My family got really concerned for me as at that point since I did not feel happy at all and shut myself in the house. I didn't want to go anywhere and I wasn't sleeping at night. I felt that I was driving all my loved ones away, especially my fiancé. Instead of taking medication for the anxiety (which is always my last resort), I decided to research holistic remedies for the anxiety and insomnia. One of the results that came up was acupuncture, which I had never tried before but had heard wonderful things about it. I searched through hundreds of pages online looking for an acupuncturist who would accept my insurance since I didn't have the money to pay out-of-pocket and the one that caught my eye was Dr. Insung Park's website. After looking through his site and reading several testimonials I decided to give him a call since I had nothing to lose. When I had made my appointment and went to the office and met Dr. Park for the first time I was actually extremely nervous since I always get nervous around new doctors and such, but he was very warm and friendly and was very thorough with explaining everything to me. He is so nice personable, funny, and a very caring person. For once I didn't think explaining what was going on with me made me seem crazy. He took it very seriously and almost immediately after my first session I started feeling better. For months following that I slept better. I was a lot happier and my anxiety has drastically decreased. Along with some herbal medication I finally felt like a normal human being. The sessions have also helped with my stress levels since I had planned my wedding over the summer and got married in September-it helped the planning process run a lot smoother. Now it's almost been a year since my first appointment and I don't regret seeing Dr. Park at all two times a week-I look forward to my session since it's a way for me to unwind and relax. If anything I highly recommend him to everybody if they are looking for an alternative way to deal with pain or medical conditions that can't be helped from Western doctor medicine. I will continue to see Dr. Park for as long as I can. Nobody has really helped me like he has and I am extremely thankful for all he has done.
Thank you so much Dr. Park for helping me get my life back on track.

Naturally being diagnosed with MS has released some extreme anxieties ... Well, I must say that I was very surprised. Even after the first treatment, you develop a mode of meditation that I did not think existed. I am very happy with the positives results.
Several months ago, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. To date, my MS symptoms are visionary with minor motions that occur in my left foot and shoulder. Naturally being diagnosed with MS has released some extreme anxieties. I am currently being treated by a neurologist but my wife recommended me to try acupuncture. She heard some positive feedback from others with different types of illnesses.Needless to say I was very sceptical. I found Dr. Insung via the Internet and decided to give it a try. Well, I must say that I was very surprised. Even after the first treatment, you develop a mode of meditation that I did not think existed <for me anyway>. I am very happy with the positives results. For those you do not believe, please give it a try. The feeling you get after your treatment is a bit euphoria.

After my first visit, I felt my mind relax and my appetite returned almost immediately ... anxiety is much more manageable and the panic attacks have stopped ... my insomnia reduced dramatically
Dear Prospective Acupuncture Patients,
I began seeing Dr. Park three months ago because I was suffering from severe anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, and a loss of appetite. I was hesitant to try acupuncture at first, but wanted to try this procedure based upon the urging of a good friend.
After a thorough initial consultation, I began my first treatment with Dr. Park. His caring and kind demeanor put me at ease. The needles are small and while you might feel a slight pinch, are painless. The experience is extremely relaxing. After my first visit, I felt my mind relax and my appetite returned almost immediately. I started going once a week, then twice a week, now I go every two weeks. The anxiety is much more manageable and the panic attacks have stopped. After a few sessions, my insomnia reduced dramatically, now my sleeping pattern has returned to normal.
I would highly suggest this as a treatment to anyone in the midst of severe anxiety. Through the help of Dr. Park, I was able to manage my illness without medication. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Park and am glad to know this is a treatment I can use again in the future, should I need it.

It was truly magnificent for the first time in my life to be on an even-keel emotionally every day of the year.
In 2011 I wrote a glowing testimonial for Dr. Park, whom I had been seeing since December 2010 for weekly acupuncture treatments. Since that time a lot has happened, which has only served to reinforce my recommendation of Dr. Park and his treatments.
I was and am now seeing Dr. Park weekly. As a result of these treatments, I had reached a wonderful plateau where I could identify when I was entering a manic cycle or a depressive cycle. The difference though, was that the change in cycle was not as extreme as it had been. It was no longer ?high on life? and then ?crash & burn?. My days remained quite level with only a very mild sense of sadness of excitation. It was truly magnificent for the first time in my life to be on an even-keel emotionally every day of the year.
Last year I got very involved with an elderly neighbor?s care and seeing Dr. Park appeared to be a nuisance. From May 2012 through December 2012, my visits were haphazard. I cancelled regularly. I didn?t show because ?something more important? needed tending. Some months I didn?t see him at all. I still took all my medications. I felt good. My moods were even. What could possibly go wrong?
What went wrong was 8 months of inconsistent treatment. When January 2013 arrived and I was heading into a depressive cycle, I crashed big time. I barely could get out of bed. I spent days on the sofa blindly staring at TV. I was totally apathetic with feelings of hopelessness and failure towards everything. Dishes piled in the sink. Mail piled up unread. I missed bill payments and I ate very little. My mood was very close to be as it had been when I was first diagnosed without any treatment or medications.
I returned to Dr. Park with my tail between my legs. Much to my surprise, I received no recriminations, no stern lectures from the good doctor; simply encouragement for my return. I started seeing him twice a week for 2 months and then once a week, which I will continue to do. The differences between my moods are not yet quite as unnoticeable as they had been, but in 8 months my manic extremes are contained and my depression doesn?t render me bed/ sofa/ TV bound. I?m low key during those periods and a little less inclined to lengthy conversation, but my life does not come to a crashing stop.
Dr Park continues to impress and amaze me with his skills, but also with his gentle generosity of spirit and kindness. I learned a lesson the hard way and Dr. Park did not humiliate me with lectures and criticism. I continue to strongly recommend him as a healer and practitioner of acupuncture. His addition of a masseuse to his staff and a free 15 minute massage prior to treatment only makes the experience more pleasant.
Sincerely,

... joint pains, extreme fatigue to swelling and numbness to most of my extremities ... developed extreme anxiety
(I'm very happy to say that after only two weeks of treatments I am experiencing great improvement.)
I am a 42 year old woman dealing with multiple autoimmune ailments. I have battled with ulcerative colitis for the past 21 years and as of a year ago I was diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disorder. (MCTD) involves symptoms that range from joint pains, extreme fatigue to swelling and numbness to most of my extremities. The last year was particularly difficult physically but most of all mentally. I developed extreme anxiety which led to a fear of driving and thus really interfered with my every day life. I am already on lots of medications and I really did no want to add anymore to my daily regimen, so it was then that I decided on acupuncture as an alternative medicine to help with all of my problems.
I'm very happy to say that after only two weeks of treatments I am experiencing great improvement. My lower back pain is almost non existing, the numbness and pain on my arms has decreased by 50% and most important my anxiety has really improved tremendously. I'm proud to say that after only 4 treatments with Mr. Park, I'm now driving again and I feel much calmer in general.
I look forward to my treatments, I feel that the combination of acupuncture and the herbs that he recommended are having a positive impact and I am liking the outcome. Hopefully I will attain my goal of weaning off all meds very soon. I recommend this painless and most relaxing alternative medicine to everyone.

A painful swollen finger
that began after I had surgery..
significant relief.
Depression and anxiety,
I have been able to reduce gradually the amount of medication I take and eventually stop it completely
Earlier this year I started seeing Insung Park for a painful swollen finger that began after I had surgery. After getting significant relief using acupuncture, I asked Mr. Park if he could help with my depression and anxiety. With only a few visits, the condition improved markedly - farm more than I got from years of psychiatric medications. I have been able to reduce gradually the amount of medication I take and eventually stop it completely. I am feeling better than any time I can remember. My expectation is to maintain my well-being with continued treatment.
Mr. Park always takes time to listen to my troubles and ensures that the area being treated feels better. Acupuncture is an amazing, painless technique that truly works and Mr. Park is a natural healer. I highly recommend him to everyone, who just like me, is looking for real healing.
Kr.Ko
I started the treatment with Mr. Park after watching the rapid progress my wife was experiencing.
One by one my symptoms was
vanishing after just a few sessions: anxiety, fatigue, poor sleep, my allergy and even a low back pain that was bothering me for the last
two years.
I recommend acupuncture for everyone, even for those that are afraid of needles, because it doesn't hurt at all. Mr. Park really masters his craft.
Best regards

I chose a course in Acupuncture after a diagnosis of Lipo Sarcoma resulting in three surgeries which left me with a number of issues in which western medicine did not seem to help. As a result of beginning a course of acupuncture at Acupuncture Park to address pain, digressive problems and mental discouragement, I quickly saw the results. My mental attitude got much better, my digestive issues lessened, but most important the physical and mental pain began to mitigate. All this happens, because during your first visit Mr. Park takes the time to listen and evaluate your individual needs
Your treatments take place in a clean, quite, gentile space. The Acupuncture needles are nothing to fear. They are extremely small and for the most part you do not know that they are there. If you have any fear of needles don?t, because Mr. Park is very sensitive to your fears as a new patient and he takes the time to explain the procedure and tell you what to expect. The treatments are well worth getting over any fears in order to bring you back from pain and back to a trouble free life. He also treats you with Chinese herbs which enhance your ability to heal quickly.

Manic suicidal Depression
(Medication since 1992 and most of my adult life)
To Whom It May Concern,
I have suffered with Manic Depression most of my adult life. I am 55 years old and have been on the same medication since 1992 when I was first hospitalized for suicidal depression. I suffer with extreme mood swings from debilitating depression to extreme grandiosity.
A year ago, my medications stopped working. My doctor prescribed newer medications and after much experimentation we came upon a combination of drugs which allowed me to get through each day, but just barely. I spent many hours on the sofa watching television during my depressive weeks and many hours on the sofa talking non-stop on the phone with friends and making lists of all the things I was going to do, but never did, during my manic phase. I was barely functioning. Each day was an endurance contest until it was over. I was basically spending every day of my life waiting for the day and my life to be over. Things were pretty bleak.
In December 2010 I started seeing Dr. Park. I am not willing to go off my medications and explained that to Dr. Park. He had no problem using acupuncture to supplement my drug therapy rather than to replace it. I started seeing him twice a week with the inclusion of Chinese herbs.
Within weeks of our first treatments I could see a difference in my manic episodes. They were less intense. I could focus more easily; identify when my behavior was starting to become too hyper. I could sit and listen without interrupting. My thoughts and words did not race on as usual and with a list I could focus on completing one task at a time without becoming overwhelmed.
The depressive episodes took a bit longer, however, at the end of April I went into a down cycle and for the first time in over a year I was not huddled in a ball watching the clock waiting for the day to end. I woke up with a sense of well-being rather than dread. I had enough energy to see me through the day. I could do the chores that my home requires. I did not have to force myself to accomplish tasks or to talk to people. In fact each day was and is filled with activities.
My illness has not disappeared. I will not give up my medications. But I know that Dr. Park?s treatment will continue to be a part of my life. I am very grateful to Dr. Park. His skill and knowledge of acupuncture and its uses far exceeds that of any other acupuncturist I have seen in the past in the tri-state area.
Dr. Park?s use of needles is minimal. His calm and easy going demeanor is reassuring and his sense of humor makes our visits pleasurable.
More importantly, though, for the first time, I am seeing less and less of a difference in my life and how I function during both my depressive and manic cycles. There is less change and disruption in my personality and life when each 50-day cycle starts and ends. I am finally seeing the potential of some form of continuity of behavior even as my moods shift.
Dr. Park and acupuncture has been responsible for this. I strongly recommend him as a practitioner and healer. Change does not happen overnight but with commitment to his skill and continuity of treatment I?m sure you will see improvement, no matter the illness.
Sincerely,
Anne V. M-C

June 3rd 2011 Depression (most of life) and Weight loss 20 lbs. in 3 month (I brought my wife and daughter also) My name is Mark I am a 53 year old male. I have suffered chronic depression and anxiety most of my life since highteen. The last episode of depression I suffered, medication, which I have taken more than 10 years, alone was not helping me. I sought the services of an acupuncturist after reading articles about depression and acupuncture my doctor told me that acupuncture couldn?t hurt. Once attending for the first time I felt a little better but did not last. After additional sessions of acupuncture the depression began to lift and I began to feel better and have longer periods of time where I was not depressed. After almost a year of acupuncture twice a week I feel that my depression has lifted and I attribute this to acupuncture. In addition a side effect of medication is weight gain which I have begun to take off loosing twenty pounds in the past three months. I thank Mr. Park for making me feel better. I just wanted to say in addition to me attending acupuncture my wife and daughter have come also. My daughter for depression and my wife for chronic pain and it have helped them also. Anxiety, Stress, Panic Attack and Stomach Pain
Hi,
Until a few weeks ago I never had Acupuncture performed on me, and also had never even considered going. And now, I'm very glad that I did.
For the past 5 years I have had problems with stress and toll it was taking on my body. The stress had manifested years ago as panic attacks that at first seemed like an actual illness. I became violently ill, unable to keep any food in my system for days, even a week, at a time and I wound up admitted to the hospital three times over two years.
The last attack was last month. After trying doctors and hospitals and having no luck, I took the advice of my cousin, and decided to try Acupuncture. Within hours of making that decision, I was in the doctor's waiting room for my first acupuncture session. I never have had any fear of needles, but this was still something new to me, and I was slightly anxious.
The doctor, Insung Park, immediately had put me at ease with his demeanor, and I felt very calm about trying this out. First, it is absolutely true that you barely feel the needles. I had heard that from people and did not believe it, but now, I know from experience that it is true. Second, it only takes a minute for the needles to be set, and then, you feel instantly relaxed. I mean, right away. Time and everything else seems to stand still, and your body just melts into a state of calm. All the noise and thoughts that run around in my head had slowed or stopped, and I felt clear in my mind for the first time in my years.
When the doctor Park came back to remove the needles I felt better than I had in days. My stomach was no longer a ball of knots, and I could think clear and focused when before I felt overwhelmed. I remember telling my father that I instantly felt a change. Even the day after, I was still feeling ill, but I felt I could handle it. I didn't feel the weight of stress on my shoulder.
As I said, for years I tried different medications and forms of meditation. Meditation had worked better than anything a doctor had prescribed, but the Acupuncture really made a dramatic improvement in a amazingly short time. And I could not wait for my next appointment. Looking back now, a month later, I feel great. I haven't had any problems with my stomach or stress. I feel better emotionally and physically.
Everyone that I come across I recommend it to. Now that I have gone and seen the effects of Acupuncture, I know it is something I will continue with for the rest of my life.
Thanks,
MW

Vertigo/Dizziness and AnxietyBefore visiting Mr. Insung Park for acupuncture treatment, I?ve suffered from frequent episodes of vertigo, which would also trigger anxiety. I visited several specialists of Western medicine and none could not find a cure to the vertigo. Each and every one just prescribed medication that would help alleviate the symptoms of vertigo, but did not prevent the episodes from happening. After just one session of acupuncture with Mr. Park, I immediately felt changes ? physically, emotionally and mentally. For one, the normal time a vertigo episode would occur during the month (which happened to be a week after my 1st session) did not occur! I was very pleased with this, in addition to the fact that my emotions and thoughts were distinctively calmer than prior to the treatment. I continue to see Mr. Park for acupuncture on a regular basis, and have noticed that not only has my vertigo and anxiety disappeared, but I also have more energy, more happiness and a great sense of health, wellness and overall! I was a little skeptical to the effects before I actually tried a session, but now I am a firm believer that this works and Mr. Park is great at what he does! He takes his time and gives individual attention to each person. In addition, acupuncture does not hurt one bit. I actually feel very peaceful and relaxed during each session, and I really enjoy the benefits and effects of acupuncture. Thank you so much, Mr. Insung Park! Madeline Estrada |
